Everyone has their meaning of success. Some believe that success is fame; for some, it’s a joy, while for some, it’s money. You need to have your definition of success because you will take the right actions when you know your end goal. It will help you design your pathway and figure out a planned strategy without compromising what matters the most to you.

While designing your work track, you need to be mindful of your intentions, actions, and what you wish to accomplish. A clear picture of your goal is the prerequisite for this matter. This requires certain habit-building, which can ensure that you are not bogged down when life doesn’t go the way you have planned. God never promised anything, but he gave us the wisdom and the power of discretion to choose between right and wrong. The optimum use of this wisdom, along with the application of specific formulas which all the successful people in life always endorse, can make the path towards success :

1. Define your vision:

Life is not about one single day; instead, it is a journey. When amalgamated with a purpose, a vision, and a goal, this journey can enhance life’s experience. This requires you to develop a vision that can channelize all your actions to achieve what you want. It is just not about work or money, but a vision in different aspects such as:

  • Lifestyle
  • Work/Professional life
  • Health/Fitness
  • Family
  • Relationships/Friend circle
  • Travel
  • Mental health
  • Finance Management

You can add to it various other sectors that matter in your life. It could be doing something for society and so much more. Recognize the areas that are important to you. Be specific with the timeline for every area. It is not about achieving everything at once. For example, career and finance are the two most essential areas in a person’s life in the twenties. In old age, people are more concerned about their retirement plans and living a relatively relaxed life. So, you need to chalk out your immediate objectives, say for the next year, your distant dreams — the ones you need to accomplish within the next ten years or so.

Creating a vision board

Once you have clearly stated your vision in different areas of your life, you must have started picturing all those moments you want to live. It may be traveling abroad, owning a luxury car, getting a paycheque of USD 1 million, isn’t it? If imaging it can influence your adrenaline, then how about seeing it daily? Develop a board and attach pictures on aboard. Watch it daily — the first thing when you get up and the last thing before you sleep. Let your vision manifests. Remember, when you ask the universe something, it will get it done for you!

2. Creating yourself in the future:

We all would be liked to be known for something — be it being a marketer or an entrepreneur, or a model. Without knowing who you want to be, you cannot work on achieving it. So, think about what you would like to know, your passion, and what work gives you happiness. Answering these questions can help you find the purpose of your life. Always trust your gut feelings in this case. Nobody could become successful in life by doing something they never wanted to do. You must focus on following your dreams and no live the life that society or someone else sets for you. Only when you effortlessly enjoy what you do will you give your cent percent into the task, and that is precisely what matters in the end.

3. Affirmation to make things happen:

Positive statements help you overcome negativity, discouragement. It restructures the brain’s dynamic by fulfilling with its positivity, confidence, and joy. Write affirmative statements such as “I am the best marketer in the world”; “I am the happiest person today.” Make a note of such affirmation statements for both your personal and professional life. Always trust your gut feelings in this case. Nobody could become successful in life by doing something they never wanted to do. You must focus on following your dreams and not live the life that society or someone else sets for you. Only when you effortlessly enjoy what you do will you give your cent percent into the task, and that is precisely what matters in the end.

4. Setting Morning Ritual:

Start your day fresh by focusing on your mental and physical health. If your morning routine is positive and productive, your days will be result-producing. Here is how you can set your morning ritual:

  • Wake up with sunrise by 6 am makes you more focused. Ayurveda says that your body’s performance rises with the sun, and hence it’s essential to use it when the sun is at its peak, i.e., from 11 am to 2 pm. Waking up at 6 am, gives your body to prepare for its best performance.
  • As soon as you wake up, thank god for a beautiful day! It is always said that one must count on one blessing and express gratitude for all the good things in life. Try for once, and you will know how powerful acknowledgments are in life.
  • Exercising within 30 minutes of waking up time can release endorphins which reduces stress and anxiety. Exercising in the morning gives you a sense of accomplishment, and what can be more rewarding than this?
  • Read positive quotes or a motivating book rather than reading newspapers or killing your time on mobile. This will drive you to initiate positive and result-producing things in life. After which, when you are in the office or starting to make your to-do list, you will notice a chain of positive thoughts running in your mind to achieve what you want to in life.

So, pick up a book and finish it once a month at least. I am reading “Bring out the magic in your mind” this month! Reading a book gives wings to your thinking capability. You learn to visualize things; the ones you read in some merely typed alphabets set your brain to create a picture of the same actively. Thus, book reading is an integral part of being open-minded.

6. Learn something new every day:

Many times, we live life in an automated mode! That stagnates our growth. Learning keeps our mind activated, helps in evolving in our field, and stays ahead of competitors. I resist learning because it takes effort to learn, but I have always noticed that it refreshes my brain too! With every new skill you know, you shall explore a new dimension in your personality that would have otherwise remained masked.

7. Work on your relationship with time:

People who have a strong relationship with time are always successful. It starts with being on time for a meeting or getting ready on time. Until and unless you begin to respect time, you cannot achieve anything in your life. The worst part about time is that it makes you realize it’s worth only after it is gone. Dive deep into what does time means to you, just like I defined success in my introduction. For me, time means discipline. This is what makes me successful as a content writer because, in the service industry, nothing matters more than time. Here is a detailed article I wrote on productivity — do read!

These eight steps are influential in producing magical results in anyone’s life. If you think the list is too long and you cannot implement all of these at once, try to focus on one single step at a time. The satisfaction of accomplishment is a vicious loop in itself. The more you accomplish, the more your mind will keep on motivating you to run faster.
